Wandering and Wondering

We're just sitting here, trying to recover from our recent days at sea, trying to get over being pampered and spoiled with 24 hour room service, 24 hour restaurants and entertainment. Or, we just got back from our first cruise. We spent 4 nights on the Carnival Elation, sailing from Galveston to Puerto Progresso and Veracruz, Mexico. We were supposed to go to Cozumel and Playa del Carmen, but Tropical Storm Gamma had other ideas.
We had only one somewhat turbulent day at sea, but it was more amusing than upsetting, getting to watch people walk the decks acting like they weren't staggering around.

We really had a good time. Near Progresso, we visited the Dzibilchaltun Mayan ruins and then went to a ranch for a Mayan buffet followed by dancing and a charro (cowboy) demonstration.

We were invited to go on the cruise with friends who were celebrating their parents 50th anniversary and the renewal of their vows. Our Sunday on ship was the occasion, and then we went to the Captains formal reception and the formal dinner in the dining room. It was a pleasant day.

Enough wandering for today.

Take care and keep wondering what we're up to.
