Skywatch Friday

Skywatch Friday

Last August we visited California, stayed a couple of days in Cambria
at Moonstone Beach. This is from the parking lot of our motel.

This was looking straight out at the Pacific

As was this

And this is up the coast highway. How many remember
'Then Came Bronson'

Be sure to check out the rest of the Skywatch Friday photos
from around the globe.

What a wind

Out here in the high mountain desert of west Texas, the wind can be relentless. It blows nonstop for hours or sometimes days on end. According to weather stations, there is a measurement called 'wind run' or theoretically how many miles of wind passes the station in a given time. Today's reading, so far, is 144.

Tumble weeds weren't tumbling, they were blowing straight across the yard. Tomorrow's supposed to be quiet, so we get to gather the weeds from the fence line and add to the compost pile.

All in all, it's not bad since our 'cold' day was 55 instead of the usual 65-75.
Listening to the wind trying to blow everything away.
